African Footprint CD’ release: Journey

Saturday the 3rd of September 2011 African Footprint International had a Cd-release at Performers House, where students, staff, the press and many others were invited.

African Footprint International (AFI) is a professional cultural group from Ghana. Their vision is to bridge the gap between the less privileged and privileged, the physically challenged and able people through African traditional music, dance, drumming, story telling education in Information Technology, English, music theory, vocational training etc. to make them functionally literate, self confident, productive and acquire the necessary skills to cope successfully in the modern world.

African Footprint played some tracks from their new cd, and made a great show with both music and dance.
Both the show and the group African Footprint conveyed a lot of history and meaningful purpose.
It was obvious that all members of African Footprint put their lives ands souls into the music and dance, and the music was both toughing and soulful. Everyone in the audience found it difficult to remain seated and it was a great relief (and great fun) when we were all invited to dance to the last song. What a blast!
